Balloon Idea

So I finally got my balloon idea on the go. This involved me purchasing some helium balloons and attaching a little note to the bottom of them that said ..

"This is one girls attempt at making the world a happier place. Have a magical day".

I then let the balloons free.

I filmed the whole process and above is the video I am in the process of editing for my assessment in December.

The lipstick Idea ....

Following on from the box idea ... I have been continuously trying to think of ways to distribute notes ... and it is now time I put some of these idea into action ... this is one I have been working on recently ... it's one of the simplest ideas in my mind ...

Super Happy

People are amazing!
In the past week I have distributed 54 boxes .. prompting people to pass the box on to someone who may need cheering up ... some of the responses I have received prove to me that my task is worth continuing! My favorite reply this week was ....

"Hey, I gave your box to a girl in my class who was having a really bad day, nothing was working for her and everything kept going wrong. But then I found your box and followed your advice and her face lit up!! I think what you're doing is really inspirational, it reminds me why I have faith in mankind. You're Awesome. Your Boxes are Awesome. Keep it up."

Somebody named Jason also sent me a link to his own work which made me smile ... every day he posts a picture of something that made him smile ... if you're interested this is the website ...

a peek at my sequential workings ....

So this is a new turn I have taken with my work ... I want people to find my boxes and pass them on to people who they feel need cheering up, or people the love, or even just keep them for themselves if they are having a bad day. I'm hoping to get a few responses .. I'm really excited to hear about where these gifts end up!

Next week .... balloons!

The world (or uni at least) is ever so slightly a happier place

Oh yes, I received some post in my make-shift post box this morning ... neither note was referring to the question i asked (what would you do to make the world a happier place?) however .. quite frankly .... I don't care!


This week I will mainly be making .. you guessed it .. boxes ... however I will be making them in mass, like some crazy box making machine. I began today thinking, yes I will aim for 100 boxes by next monday ... I've ended today thinking, damn it's just not possible to make THAT many boxes in a week. I've concluded today thinking, I'll just make as many as I can!
